Ethiopian sportswear provider company Gofere has signed an agreement with Ugandan side UPDF FC. This deal will be the 6th time Gofere has reached an agreement with an East African club outside of Ethiopia.
Hassan Mohammed Hassan, founder of Gofere, said “ We have managed to accomplish so many things so far and we are really glad with this deal. This is a historic and special day.”
UPDF manager Brian Ssenyondo stated “ we are excited to sign this deal. There is a saying that goes think outside the box and that’s what we tried to do. This deal shows pan-africanism.” He further added that the deal will help Gofere enter the Ugandan market.
UPDF, who finished 10th in the Ugandan top division in their maiden season, will wear a green home kit and a white away jersey with black shorts and socks. There is a Lion design on both kits which symbolizes the nickname of the club.
In addition to the kits Gofere will also provide track suits, training gear and 5000 fan jerseys.
