Kidus Giorgis pummelled Dedebit 2-0 in Addis Ababa to close within three points of leaders Adama Kenema. The Horsemen scored in each half to shrug off the Blue Armies.
Dedebit came to the game at the back of a 2-1 win over Ethiopia Bunna whilst Kidus Giorgis won their last game against Hadiya Hossana.
Former Ethiopian international Adane Girma handed Giorgis the lead in the 27th minute as he struck from close range from the flick of Ramkel Lok. Ugandan international Brain Umony, who replaced Lok in the second half, sealed the win deep into the stoppage time with a brilliant chip over Dedebit goalie Tarike Getnet.
Kidus Giorgis managed to remain second with 16 points, 3 points short of leaders Adama Kenema. Meanwhile, Dedebit dropped to 4th as Sidama Bunna overtook them to be 3rd in the table.
