PL 23/24 | Ethiopia Nigd Bank lost two valuable points

The premier league is back with a bang as league leaders Ethiopia Nigd Bank snatch a late draw while Ethiopia Bunna hammer Wolkite Ketema.

In the early kickoff leaders Ethiopia Nigd Bank fought from two goals down to salvage a draw against Bahir Dar Ketema.

Goals late in the first half from Tsegaye Abera and Yabsera Tesfaye stunned Nigd Bank who were on a mission to maintain their five point lead at the top.

But Ethiopia Nigd Bank were up for a late drama as Addis Gidey’s successful penality gave them hope in the 86th minute while Addis Gidey were at it again deep into stoppage time to earn them a hard fought point.

The draw means Ethiopia Nigd Bank maintaining their place at the top with 57 points but the deficit with Mechal might be reduced to 3 points if Mechal win this week while Bahir Dar are 4th with 46 points.

In the late kickoff Ethiopia Bunna inflicted Wolkite Ketema’s 7th win of the campaign.

In what was a one sided affair goals from Amanuel Admasu, MohammedNur Nasser, Anteneh Tefera and Sintayehu Waleche earn Ethiopia Bunna an emphatic 4-0 win.

The win saw Ethiopia Bunna moving into 3rd with 47 points while Wolkite remain 14th with 16 points.
