Ethiopian National Team Heroes Take on New Roles

Walias legends Degu Debebe and Adane Girma have stepped into new roles in Ethiopian football.

Both were key figures in the famous 2013 national team squad, serving as the first and second captains under Sewnet Bishaw.

A two-time Premier League MVP, Degu Debebe retired from professional football two years ago after an illustrious career spanning two decades. He then served as a technical advisor for Arba Minch FC and now joins Hadiya Hosaina as an assistant coach.

Adane Girma, also a former lethal goal scorer in both the Premier League and the national team, has been appointed assistant coach at Kidus Giorgis, where he previously played and later served as team administrator.
