The Ethiopian Premier League SC has signed a new broadcasting agreement after parting ways with South African broadcaster SuperSport.
Under the new deal, the Oromia Broadcasting Network (OBN) has acquired the exclusive live transmission rights for the top flight league.
During today’s signing ceremony, it was announced that the agreement will run for two years. Out of the 380 matches scheduled this season, 250 will be broadcast live for free. The number of televised games may increase as OBN meets the technical and production requirements set out in the contract.
