The group stage draw for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has been revealed today with Ethiopia placed in Group A.
The Ethiopian U-17 national team booked their place in the tournament after finishing third in the CECAFA qualifiers held on home soil. The qualification marks a long-awaited return to the continental stage after 22 years.
In Group A, Ethiopia will face host nation Morocco as well as North African rivals Tunisia and Egypt in what promises to be a demanding challenge.
The tournament will run from May 13 – June 2, 2026 in Morocco. Under the guidance of American coach Benjamin Zimmer, the team has been in camp for over two weeks as preparations continue to build momentum.
