The historic and most prestigious AFCON trophy tour has arrived in Addis Ababa by the official partner of CAF, Total Energies for a five-day stay.
The 33rd edition of the AFCON is set to be held in Cameroon in a few months time and Ethiopia, one of the nations taking part after years of absence is among the 18 countries where the trophy is set to tour.
The trophy has touched down in Ethiopia’s capital Addis for an official five-day stay, and the Ethiopian tour was launched today In an event held today afternoon at the TotalEnergies Ethiopia headquarter.
The trophy was unveiled in accompany of the Total Energies Ethiopia marketing manager Ana Sofie, brand ambassador Haile G/selassie and EFF representative Solomon G/Selassie.
Speaking at the event Haile said he is very delighted that the prize is here and wished the Ethiopian national team all the best of lucks in the coming tournament.
In the unveiling, it was stated that the trophy will be here in Addis for five days and would be free for a photoshoot at the public events set to be held at the Bole and Mexico TotalEnergies service stations on Thursday to give fans a chance to experience the historic prize and also in the evening of Thursday there would be an event at the Hyatt Regency hotel where highly ranked state officials, EFF executive members, Senior men’s national team members, and distinguished guests would attend in what would be a final public event for the trophy tour in Ethiopia.
