Match Day 19 of the BetKing Ethiopian Premier League continued with games that took place on Saturday as the game between relegation fighters Legetafo Legedadi and Ethio Electric ended in a goalless draw. Defending Champions St. George managed to beat Adama Ketema to keep on their push to retain the title.
The game between Legetafo Legedadi and Ethio Electric wasn’t a classic as there were few chances to talk about. Both sides chose the long route into goal but were unsuccessful in their quest.
Following the draw the sides sit on 10 points but still occupy the last places in the league table and are in real danger of relegation unless something drastic happens in the coming weeks.
In the second game of the day St. George managed to collect all three points after their 2-1 win against Adama Ketema. All goals were scored in the second half. Abel Yalew gave ‘The Horsemen’ the lead after a good run and tidy finish. The league’s top scorer Ismael Ouro-Agoro doubled the advantage as he converted using his knee following a cross from a corner kick. Daniel Demisse scored the cancellation for Adama.
Following the win St. George extend their lead at the top of table with 42 points. Adama Ketema are 8th with 24 points.
